She has been creating art continuously since 2009, and at the beginning she worked in the genre of painting, and in 2011 she started working in the genre of installation, photo art, and performance. In 2016, when she participated in the Land Art Mongolia 360 Biennale, she started using horse mane in her works, which has become a common feature of her arts today. She spins horse mane into yarn and weaves with the spun yarn as part of her performance. Objects woven from horse mane occupy a large place in her works, but L.Munguntsetseg uses her own body as one of the means of her works. Her works often describe inner transformation, its insurmountable difficulties and sadness, and she uses traditional Mongolian rituals and tools to do so.
